Ferrari Unveils Title for 2024 F1 Car

9 months ago By Sports Desk

Ferrari has confirmed that the car it will use in the Formula 1 campaign this year will be called the SF-24. The Italian team enters the new season hoping to catch up with their rivals Red Bull, who dominated last season. Red Bull emerged victorious in 22 races held, with Ferrari being the only team to stop Red Bull’s full cycle.

Carlos Sainz emerged victorious at the Singapore Grand Prix when Red Bull faced a challenge. Despite being the only non-Red Bull team to win a race last season, Ferrari finished third behind Mercedes in the Constructors’ Championship.

The SF-24 will be unveiled on February 13, and expectations for the unveiling are high. The ‘SF’ in the name stands for Scuderia Ferrari and has been in the car’s name since the 2015 season. Except in 2022, when the F1-75 celebrated the company’s 75th anniversary.

Ferrari kicks off the new year by announcing the signing of Charles Leclerc on a multi-year contract. Sainz’s current contract expires at the end of this year, making him an important player in the driver market.

Although red has dominated Ferrari since the beginning of F1, the name of the chassis has been a secret. Teams often name their cars based on the year they were built, such as F14-T, SF15-T, and SF16-H, respectively from 2014 to 2016.

However, Ferrari has already broken the mold by using names like the SF70H in 2017 and the F1-75 in 2022 to celebrate the automaker’s 70th and 75th years. The SF90 celebrated 90 years of the Ferrari company, and the SF1000 was to celebrate Ferrari’s 1,000th race in F1, which reached the time of the Toscana Grand Prix on September 13, 2023.

The SF-24 follows the SF-23, and confirmation has been made by Ferrari on their social media. Although it is not certain whether the SF-24 will compete with Red Bull and Max Verstappen for the championship, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will certainly strive to win in this red car. The anxious wait among fans will be resolved on February 13, when Ferrari will officially reveal the much-awaited SF-24.
