Warning Issued to Jack Miller Regarding Pressure Amid KTM Contract Talks

8 months ago By Sports Desk

After a difficult start to the MotoGP season in Qatar, Jack Miller is under increasing pressure at KTM. His underwhelming performance in the opening race has sparked debate over whether he will remain in the team, particularly with the impressive rise of Pedro Acosta.

Miller raced hard in Qatar, losing control of his KTM and finishing 21st, the last rider to win a Grand Prix. In addition, he finished 10th in the sprint race. Meanwhile, premier class debutant Acosta impressed with a solid performance in the first race.

TNT sports commentator Sylvain Guintoli warned of the mounting pressure on Miller, saying he will feel the weight of expectations immediately. With Acosta showing potential and an attractive option for the team, the race for second place on KTM is fierce, with Miller under scrutiny.

Miller chose to use the soft front tire in the sprint race, showing uncertainty about the performance of the medium tire. But switching to medium tires in Sunday’s race and still crashing didn’t help his confidence at all.

On the other hand, at just 19 years of age, Acosta had an impressive race, proving that he is a promising talent in MotoGP. With its excellent performance and the attention it has attracted, KTM can consider its options for next season.

While Brad Binder has a long-term contract with KTM, Miller and Augusto Fernandez’ contracts expire at the end of this season. This raises questions about the future of the KTM team and who will be second to Binder next season.

As the driver market heats up and competition heats up, Miller’s career is at an important crossroads. He will need to recover quickly and show he can handle the pressure if he is to guarantee his future with the KTM team.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Miller and Acosta to see how they handle the pressure and perform in the upcoming races. The fight to get into the KTM team promises to be one of the most interesting stories of the 2024 MotoGP season.
